Palm Springs in February

Visited Palm springs in late February to early March.
We had rain the first two days of our stay but after that, it was pretty nice.
Did some hiking, house hunting, lots of eating…typical vacation shenanigans!

Twenty Seven

I don’t usually write much but I will try my best to add more words along with the following photos.
What was this weekend?  So. Much. Food.
All photos taken with my Fujifilm x100.

After lunch, had to walk around a lot to not feel like a slow moving walrus.
The perfume store must be a real pain in the ass to dust…

Sunday lunch at Cafe Medina.
For someone like me, the promise of a good meal is enchanting enough to wait in line for an hour. Fairly worth the wait.

Lavendar latte + braised short rib, eggs, potatoes in a hot skillet + waffle with white-chocolate pistachio rosewater sauce...

Here’s to (hopefully) many more years of good health, good eats, and happiness!

Mushroom Stand, SF Ferry Building Market

Mushroom stand in the San Francisco Ferry Building. We bought dried Shiitake mushrooms and some truffle-mustard spread.
It’s fascinating how many varieties of mushrooms exist…way beyond what you see at markets. Fungi! :)

From the OC to Seattle

Recently drove from the OC (Southern California) to Seattle, WA (yes it was raining when we arrived).
Total number of hours driven: 23, not including sight-seeing around stops.

Here are some quick pics via the Hipstamatic app on my iPhone :)

Took this while driving across SF’s famous bridge.

A tad blurry…From the popular Brenda’s Soul Food in SF. Crawfish beignet.

Trendy, famous coffee stop, Blue Bottle Coffee in SF.
